“Women in Islam”

Please join us for the talk "Women in Islam" given by Shanaz Tejani-Butt, Ph.D. Tejani-Butt takes an active role in humanitarian activities and in correcting misconceptions about Muslim women and their rights granted by Islam. She serves on advisory boards of Humanity First, National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Pathways Pennsylvania. Tejani-Butt is a professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia. A native of India, she obtained her Ph.D. from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
