"Reclaiming Our King: The Radical Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr."

Get inspired by the radical legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

Activities include:

  • Keynote address “Kent Ford, Elder Street Fightin' Statesman.” Kent Ford is founding member of the Portland Chapter of the Black Panther Party. A longtime community activist, he helped organize the Fred Hampton Memorial People's Health Clinic and Free Breakfast Program in Portland.
  • Community reading of Martin Luther King Jr.’s "Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence."
  • Anakbayan Portland member speaks about its "Take Back our Education" platform and black/Filipino solidarity.
