Join us for a talk by Michael Helquist, historian, journalist, editor and author. His award-winning book on Marie Equi reveals the amazing life and work of Equi, Portland physician, openly lesbian, and women’s and workers’ rights advocate, who risked her career and life to champion peace and those without power in early-twentieth century America. This talk is organized by Johnson Professor of History Laurie Mercier.
