3-minute Thesis Contest

The challenge? Clearly present your doctoral thesis to a non-technical lay audience in three minutes or less.

Awards presented to the top finishers. The overall winner will receive a free trip to compete in the WSU finals in Pullman on March 27. See complete rules at 3mt.wsu.edu/rules.

The top three winners from the Pullman finals will receive money toward travel to a research conference of their choice:

  • First place: $3,000
  • Second place: $1,500
  • Third place: $500

Free and open to all current WSU Vancouver doctoral* students.

To register, email your name and presentation title to Holly Davis at holly.davis@wsu.edu by 9 a.m. Feb. 15.

*Master’s students—though not eligible for the Pullman competition and awards—are welcome to participate. Practice makes perfect!
