Peter Rock, “The Novel as Human”

Wednesday, March 12, 2014 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us for the Professional Writers Series presentation by Peter Rock.

Rock’s fiction focuses on characters on the fringes of society. His latest novel is “The Shelter Cycle” (2013), based on events in Montana in 1990, when members of the Church Universal and Triumphant were preparing for the end of the world.

The Professional Writers Series brings award-winning writers from a variety of genres to the campus for public presentations. This spring, six Pacific Northwest writers will speak about the trajectory of their careers, their successes and challenges. The talks, along with class discussions and writing assignments, provide insight into the writing process and the ways authors interact both creatively and commercially with other writers, editors, publishers and designers.
