October 24 is Food Day
Thursday, October 24, 2013 - 10:00am - 4:00pm
Celebrate local, fresh and sustainable food. Attendees will be able to purchase a Culture Café lunch at the campus cafeteria made from local ingredients; watch films about our local and national food system; and have the Environmental Science and Sustainability Club perform waste audits on the campus’s trash. Members of the WSU Vancouver Garden Club will be on hand to discuss local, fresh food options.
The following food documentaries will be shown in the Dengerink Administration Building, Rooms 129/130.
10 — 11:30 a.m. “Food Inc.”
11:40 a.m. — 12:40 p.m. “Dive!”
12:50 — 2:20 p.m. “King Corn”
2:30 — 3:30 p.m. “Dive!”
The cafeteria, located in the Dengerink Administration Building on the lower floor, will begin serving the Culture Café lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Waste audits will be performed from 3 — 4:30 p.m. at the outdoor area located between Firstenburg Student Commons and Facilities Operations Building.
