Blood Drive - Day Two

Dear life-saving donor,

We really need your help. Please sign up to donate at our WSU Vancouver blood drive next week. We will be on campus on February 1 and February 2. If you are not sure about eligibility, please call 1-800-398-7888 or just stop by and see if you can donate. Most people can donate so please give it a try. Patients in our own community rely on you to ensure they have the blood they need. Our organization collects and supplies blood all throughout Western Washington. This includes all of the blood needed at Peacehealth SW Medical Center and St. John Medical Center.

Due to the bad weather we had last week:

• 6 of 8 blood types are at emergency/critical inventory levels.
• We have lost about 70% of our expected units collected last week.
• Since last week, we have collected 2500 less donations than we needed.
• Our blood inventory has dropped by more than 50%.
